We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Kigbeare View. The facilities were ideal, especially as someone who has dietary requirements, so I could cook and prepare all my meals safely.

I was pleasantly surprised with how easily accessible the Lodge and hotel activities were by public transport. We got a train in straight from Exeter, and were collected by a friendly Ashbury minibus driver, who proceeded to help us travel back and forth between activities with no charge! If you don't have a car or don't want to make the long motorway journey, I highly recommend staying at the Lodge for the balance between peace and quiet, and ease of transport links that you won't get in the main hotel.

I may not be a golfer, but the view over the holes was really beautiful - the ability to practically walk straight out to play would be perfect for any golf-fans I'm sure!

If you get a food delivery to the Lodge, it's much easier to liaise with reception to help direct your driver or help you with collection. I imagine that would be the same for takeaways!

Great location, only a short walk to Ashbury and a short drive to The Manor House. Amazing views of the golf course, made even more special by spotting lots of bunnies hopping around over the Easter weekend! Having a young family, it was great to have the option to be self catering, but also enjoy all the activities on offer at both sites.
We found the Ashbury site a lot quieter than The Manor House, we were normally the only ones in the pool! Soft play was also quieter, but does mean you have to drive a short distance for most activities, as more on offer at the Manor House.

We had an amazing stay at Kigbeare View! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we loved the great selection of board games and the outdoor furniture. The secure storage shed for golf equipment was very handy. The hosts were fantastic and very responsive, providing lots of information that made the whole process smooth from booking through to check-out. Thank you very much for the bubbly and chocolates! Both resorts had so much to offer, with plenty of crafts and sporting activities for the whole family to enjoy - the activity passes provided great value for money. We especially loved the padel coaching, ice curling, and adventure golf, while the spa at The Manor gave us the chance to truly unwind. The app was simple and convenient to use. Thank you so much to the whole team at Kigbeare View – we left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return!

The lodge was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
It was so peaceful which was very welcome after a full day of activities at the hotel.
We would happily come back again and again.
We had planned to visit the local hostelries which you recommended but after a full day of activities at Ashbury and the Manor, we were all really happy to return to the lodge where we played games, watched the huge TV and just relaxed with the sound of the sheep on the hill.
We didn't book meal plans. Instead we had breakfast and supper at the lodge and had lunch at the hotels where you just have to pay at reception before you go into the dining room... very convenient!

Truly lovely time at this beautiful lodge. Came with our husbands who played golf , Padel they allowed us to join ! and we had a lovely morning Indian block painting and having a treatment in the spa. So much to do on and off site. Beautiful walks and we had a fabulous day in Topsham shopping 🛍️ without the boys of course. Lovely evenings sat on the balcony away from the hustle and bustle on the comfy furniture and fire pit !

Kigbeare View was fantastic! Our family had a super fun time. The lodge was really comfy and had loads of room – three bedrooms meant everyone had their own space, and the lovely large lounge/dining/kitchen area was perfect for movie nights, cooking and eating. The views were incredible, and we loved exploring the Ashbury Resort. We had so much to do! It was also really easy to take day trips. We went exploring on Dartmoor, had a blast at the North Devon coast, and even visited the amazing Eden Project. It was a 5-star holiday for sure!

Had a great long weekend away with friends. The lodge was clean and comfortable, with modern facilities, in a quiet location. Played plenty of racket sports at the Ashbury and Manor resorts and two of our group enjoyed the golf. A perfect weekend of sports and much-needed relaxation. Hope to get in another visit this year!

What a place! If you're into racket sports, golf, darts etc this is the place for you. The facilities are superb, I have never seen anything like it. The lodge was new and superbly fitted, overlooking a golf course with Dartmoor in the distance. If you get the opportunity, go!

Stayed at Kigbeare View end of February. The weather wasn’t great, but what a view! The lodge was warm, comfortable, and a really nice place to relax. The electric fire made it feel even cosier in the evenings. There’s loads to do at Ashbury Resort, and we only scratched the surface. We did rifle and pistol shooting (which was great fun) and gave padel tennis a go on the new courts. We also got out and explored Dartmoor National Park, climbed a few tors, and stopped by some local villages along the way. First time for us, and a must if you can find the time! For food, Graylings Fish & Chips in Okehampton was so good we went back twice! Bearslake Inn and Dartmoor Inn both served good pub food with great service. (There are 10% off vouchers for Bearslake Inn in the kitchen drawer, which is a nice touch!)We would stay at Kigbeare View again. The lodge had everything we needed, was comfortable, and made a great base for both the resort and exploring the area. There’s so much more we didn’t get around to doing—next time!

What a find!!! We had a brilliant stay this weekend. Excellent facilities, kids loved it. There was so much for them to do. The lodge was great as well. Comfiest bed we've ever slept on and a beautiful morning view overlooking the golf course.
