The golfing experience at Ashbury Resort

The Courses

One of the best things about Ashbury is the choice of courses – four full 18-hole courses plus a cracking little par-3 course. Here’s what you can expect:

Kigbeare Course - The the longest course at Ashbury Resort, stretching 6,528 yards (par 72). A top choice for those planning a golf break in Devon, it challenges both driving and putting skills. The tree-lined fairways make for a scenic round, but the tricky pin positions keep you on your toes.

·      Signature Hole: The 3rd hole is a challenging par-3 at 205 yards, with Hookmoor Brook cutting across the front of the green. It’s a real test for those who want to take it on, but there’s always the option to play safe and lay up short if you don’t fancy the carry. Either way, club selection is key!

Pines Course - A mix of wide fairways and tight tree-lined sections, especially on the back nine. It’s one of the most varied courses, so expect a bit of everything.

·      Signature Hole: The 4th hole (270-yard par-4) is a real risk-reward hole. You’ll need pinpoint accuracy on your uphill drive, with ponds and trees waiting for anything offline. The three-tiered green makes putting just as tricky as getting there!

Beeches Course - The most scenic course, with some of the best views over Dartmoor. Not the longest at 5,738 yards (par 68), but still plenty of challenge.

·      Signature Hole: The 12th hole (177-yard par-3) gives you stunning Dartmoor views while demanding a precise shot. Man-made mounds flank the green, making club selection crucial  to avoid a tough up-and-down.

Oakwood Course - The shortest full course (5,502 yards, par 68), but don’t let that fool you – there are plenty of water hazards and bunkers to keep you honest.

·      Signature Hole: The 8th hole is a tight dogleg that forces you to shape your drive around trees, setting up for a tricky approach over a pond. Get it wrong, and you’ll be looking at a big number!

Willows Par-3 Course A brilliant little course for sharpening your short game, with a mix of bunkers, ponds, and natural hazards to make it interesting.

·      Signature Hole: The 9th hole is just 120 yards, but the deep greenside bunker and sloping green make it anything but easy. A great hole to test your wedge game under pressure.
